What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop mechanical system designs, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems
  • Prepare construction documents including plans, sections, details, and schedules using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Perform equipment selection and layout coordination with architectural and structural disciplines
  • Assist in load calculations, energy modeling inputs, and system sizing
  • Conduct site visits to gather field data and support construction administration
  • Coordinate closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to support project delivery
  • Maintain awareness of project timelines and deliverables to ensure deadlines are met
  • Support QA/QC processes and implement feedback to improve design accuracy and quality

What You Bring To The Team

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in mechanical design or drafting (bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred)
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience in the AEC industry
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD required; familiarity with Navisworks and Bluebeam a plus
  • Understanding of mechanical building systems and construction processes
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, ICC, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Essential Physical Functions

  • Sit/stand at a desk or computer
  • Walk, stoop, stand and move around job sites
  • Travel and occasional site visits requiring stooping, standing, and lifting up to 30 lbs.
  • Frequent communication via phone, video, or in-person meetings
  • Ability to focus on digital and paper-based information for extended periods
  • Some project-based travel may be required
