Job Description
Works with departments and vendors to provide supplies and services for areas assigned. Coordinates routine and STAT purchases as required. Expedites all purchases to ensure timely product receipt. Supports the Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Manager and the Director of Materials Management as required.

Job Description
Works with departments and vendors to provide supplies and services for areas assigned. Coordinates routine and STAT purchases as required. Expedites all purchases to ensure timely product receipt. Supports the Purchasing Agent, Purchasing Manager and the Director of Materials Management as required.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Previous patient care experience preferred
- Speak and understand English fluently
- Knowledge of Aseptic technique preferred
- Basic Computer skills preferred
- Works directly with service leads for procurement of case-specific special needs and vendor/ sales representative notification for OR case support
- Works directly with sales representative for supplies and contracts as assigned.
- Obtains price quotes on routine purchases.
- Coordinates and sets up standing and blanket purchase orders with applicable vendors.
- Coordinates STAT orders with follow up to ensure timely receipt of product.
- Coordinates new technology trials with vendors and sales representatives
- Co-chairs local quality value analysis (CQVA) committee with nursing management, and serves on the regional and system-wide CQVA committees.
- Processes orders for off-site physician offices.
- Maintains files and records of current and alternate vendors supplies and services, as well as approved product substitution.
- Expedites delivery for all open purchase orders.
- Verifies, negotiates changes and approves payment for Non-Capital invoices with discrepancies.
- Enters data and purchase orders, downloads and transmits orders, to maintain the integrity of the Materials Management system, as required.
- Maintains file for service contracts, standing orders and blanket orders. Furnishes the Purchasing Agent with orders that are due for renewal.
- Coordinates repair purchase orders, exchanges and return goods authorizations
- Serves as a point of contact with Biomedical Engineering for repair and evaluation of hospital medical equipment
- Monitors usage, shelf-life, and stock rotation of consumable products used in the OR.
- Facilitates the surgical care of the Perioperative patient maintaining an aseptic environment. Insures that all required instrumentation, supplies and equipment are readily available.
- Functions as a member of surgical team, exhibiting excellent communication skills and developing positive working relationships with all team members.
- Exhibits competency in surgical specialties by regularly scrubbing in to maintain skill sets.
- Performs other duties as assigned
