Position Summary:

The Assistant Process Engineer supports the Process Engineering team in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving product quality, and ensuring consistent production output. This role works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to analyze process data, troubleshoot abnormalities, and implement improvements under the guidance of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining photovoltaic module production processes and specifications.
  • Support troubleshooting of product defects and process deviations to ensure consistent product quality.
  • Analyze process data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development, revision, and implementation of standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with the team on documenting process changes and technical findings.
  • Support training efforts for production personnel on updated processes and procedures.
  • Participate in material inspections, testing, and supplier qualification as required.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with the Canadian Solar Solutions Code of Business Conduct.
  • Support activities related to ISO 9001 compliance.
  • Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or process-focused environment; experience in the photovoltaic industry is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing process issues.
  • Familiarity with mechanical/electrical systems and ability to understand process flows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written (proficiency in English required; Mandarin is a plus).
  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
