Villa at City Center is seeking a licensed Director of Social Services to join their team! The Director of Social Services is responsible for ensuring social services are provided to patients throughout the rehabilitation program, either directly or by managing others in the department.

Director of Social Services Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews daily work assignments to ensure they meet regulatory compliance and provide consistent staffing whenever possible.
- Responsible for recruitment, training, clinical orientation, supervision, scheduling, time cards, and personnel issues in the social services department.
- Evaluates patients and identifies need areas by coordinating and directing other social workers in carrying out their job duties.
- Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates and directs the social service programs of the facility
- Assists in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished; collaborates with staff and other departments to develop workflow efficiencies and streamline business practices to reduce costs and eliminate waste
- Assists in developing and implementing department policies and procedures.
- Keeps abreast of current federal and state regulations as well as professional standards and makes recommendations in changes in facility policies and procedures to the Administrator
- All other duties as assigned
- Proven strong management skills, including delegating responsibility to subordinates, performance management, conflict management, and leading through others.
- Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Ability to plan and adapt policies and procedures relating to social services
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Demonstrates basic computer knowledge and ability with an aptitude to learn company applications.
- License and Bachelor’s degree in social work or a human services field including sociology, gerontology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, etc. required
- Master of Social work (MSW) or related field preferred
- Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, extended sitting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling, ability to distinguish smells and temperatures, all with or without the aid of mechanical devices is required.
