Offit Kurman, a growing full-service law firm, is seeking a Junior Estate Administration Associate to join our Trusts & Estates practice group in our Columbia, Maryland office.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior-level attorney to join a collaborative and highly regarded team with deep experience in estate and trust administration, estate planning, and fiduciary litigation.
The ideal candidate will have 0–1 year of experience and a strong interest in estate and trust administration.

Responsibilities
- Assist with all phases of probate and estate administration, including preparing and filing petitions, inventories, and accountings.
- Identify, value, and marshal estate assets.
- Prepare correspondence to clients, beneficiaries, courts, and financial institutions.
- Work with clients to coordinate payment of debts, expenses, and taxes.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of estate, inheritance, and fiduciary income tax returns.
- Support the distribution of estate assets and prepare related documentation (e.g., receipts, releases).
- Draft legal memoranda and assist with general legal research as needed.
- Work collaboratively with paralegals and senior attorneys to support high-volume caseloads.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and admission (or pending admission) to practice in Maryland.
- Interest or background in trusts and estates law.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong writing, research, and communication skills.
- Empathetic and client-service oriented.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
