Your Job
Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Gatekeeper at our Fort Smith, AR Facility. The ideal person will utilize influential leadership, manufacturing experience, and effective communication to support Asset Maintenance Work Process (AMWP). You will act as a liaison between Operations and Maintenance, leading prioritization of our work backlog and improving our fixed spending efficiencies. You will demonstrate safety as the primary value to exceed expectations for work execution.

What You Will Do
- Act as the liaison between Operations and Maintenance and serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Asset Maintenance Work Process (AMWP).
- Support and promote continuous improvement in culture to meet expected performance of zero SIFs and safety work order execution.
- Provide strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of asset reliability, cost optimization, quality capability, MRO, waste, productivity, and strategic capital planning/execution.
- Continuously review opportunities with Area Leaders to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
- Support the facility’s vision to meet/exceed financial Key Bets. Support current Key Bet initiatives for reliability, MRO, spending, and waste reduction.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams, asset owners, crew leaders, and reliability leaders to organize the facility’s reliability program and ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule.
- Leverage AMWP dashboards/reports to drive process improvements and gap closure.
- Develop an economic-thinking mindset throughout the mill organization utilizing the Decision-Making Framework (DMF) and challenge process.
- Develop and manage weekly and monthly maintenance forecasts & accruals, prioritize tasks to meet spending targets and ensure appropriate work is performed.
- Manage and prioritize daily and future maintenance activities/backlogs within assigned cost centers with support from Asset Owner.
- Perform other duties that will create the greatest value for the organization.
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience leading and facilitating meetings
- Experience using SAP or similar CMMS system
- Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Experience in a converting environment
- Experience as a Project Manager or Engineer
- Leadership experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
