Description

SeamonWhiteside is looking for a talented and motivated individual to join our growing Surveying team as a CAD Technician in our Mount Pleasant, SC office.

Will supervise a team of architects and oversees each step of the design and construction process of a building project.

The CAD Tech will serve as a member of the Civil Engineering department to manage multiple task such as preparing plans for residential, commercial, retail, and office buildings and perform quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates.

Essential Job Functions

  • Prepare plans for residential, commercial, retail, and office buildings
  • Layout water & sewer utilities plans
  • Prepare site plans
  • Complete grading plans
  • Prepare preliminary plats
  • Perform quantity take-offs and construction cost estimates

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate Degree in Civil Engineering preferred
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D required

Desired Skills

  • AutoCAD certification preferred but not required
  • Strong AutoCAD and Civil 3D skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, Excel)
  • A strong desire for continuous professional and personal development and improvement
  • Ability to work independently in a team environment and to effectively manage time
  • Willingness, ability, and commitment to meet task deadlines
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
  • A valid driver's license

Working Environment

  • Some walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel
