In this role as a senior Airframe and Powerplant Technician, you'll be responsible for leading advanced inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks across various piston aircraft. This position requires 10+ years of hands-on experience and the ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
Key Requirements:
- General Aviation Knowledge: In-depth understanding of piston GA aircraft systems and maintenance practices
- Advanced Maintenance Expertise: Strong knowledge of aircraft inspections, system diagnostics, and logbook documentation
- Professional Attributes: Excellent work ethic, leadership, and a drive to provide top-tier service to aircraft owners
- Review maintenance records and research airworthiness compliance
- Perform and lead annual and 100-hour inspections independently
- Troubleshoot and repair airframe, engine, electrical, and flight control systems
- Execute advanced tasks including flight control rigging, magneto timing, and cylinder R&R
- Assist with pre-buy evaluations and condition reports
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior mechanics and apprentices
- Ensure accurate logbook documentation in compliance with FAA regulations
- Certified A&P Mechanic
- Minimum 10 years of relevant GA maintenance experience
- Ability to perform high-skill tasks independently with limited supervision
- Basic computer skills
- At least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- IA certification or eligibility
- Experience with high-performance aircraft (Cirrus, Bonanza, Mooney, Piper, etc.)
- Familiarity with Aviation Maintenance Software (e.g., QuantumMX, Veryon)
- Paid holidays after the introductory period
- Group Health Insurance: HPA pays 50% of the employee's premium (eligible after 60 days)
- Vacation/Paid Time Off: Ranging from 1 week (1-2 years) to 4 weeks (11-20 years), eligible after 6 months
- Normal working hours are 8 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday
