Help grow a movement. We’re seeking a Marketing Director to champion the Y’s mission in Arlington‑Mansfield.

Job Description

The Director of Marketing & Communications, reporting directly to the Chief Mission Advancement Officer, is responsible for providing leadership to all associations' marketing, communication and mission advancement efforts. The Director of Marketing will be a partner in the delivery of services by providing strategic marketing planning for the organization and establishing a culture of excellence and service in an effort to meet and exceed the goals and objectives set forth in the strategic plan. The successful candidate will model the behavioral values established by the Association and will have a passion and enthusiasm for the mission and vision of the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.

Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing or a related field; YMCA experience a plus.

Expertise in creating innovative and quality brochures, flyers, and related advertising pieces.

Experience in online digital marketing and social media.

Comfortable working with committees, board of directors, and community volunteers.

Excellent problem solving skills and reasoning.

Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment to achieve results.

Strong interpersonal and both written and verbal communication skills.

Strong human relations and leadership skills

Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to work in a fast-pace environment. Ability to multi-task.

Must have a spirit of service.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Daxko and other computer programs necessary to perform the duties of the job.

Must be able to work effectively with a diversity of people, different backgrounds, abilities, opinions and all ages. Interacts regularly with members, volunteers, staff and other community leaders.

Must have and maintain current CPR Pro/AED, First Aid, Oxygen Administration, Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens training, Sexual Harassment, new hire orientation and other trainings required.

Essential Functions

Provides leadership for the comprehensive program of internal and external public relations, marketing, and branding oversight, as well as development of the YMCA's digital engagement strategy, including social media.

Creates innovative and quality marketing pieces and communications that effectively drive traffic to the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA Family Centers that helps produce the projected monthly association membership goals.

Develops and implements both annual and monthly operating plans for marketing/communication that aligns with the Arlington-Mansfield Area YMCA's strategic plan.

Works with Family Center staff to effectively collect information on upcoming programs and increase member involvement.

Creates marketing templates and resources that staff can utilize to create brand-compliant and effective Family Center marketing pieces.

Tracks and analyzes all marketing campaigns and initiatives.

Embraces and stays up-to-date on the newest trends and tools with new technology and continually searches for new ways to connect with members, participants, and donors through social media.

Creates and manages social media and monitors web content, including Google Ads, for accuracy and professional appearance.

Establishes and maintains appropriate working relationships with staff and volunteers, community leaders, media and organizations.

Communicates with YMCA members and media during times of crisis.

Assists in long range vision and plans for the continued success of the Association.

Works collectively with association leadership to organize and conduct annual support campaign efforts.

Supports the Mission Advancement Department to market and execute association events and projects.

Works with Board of Directors and Marketing Committee.

Represents the YMCA with key community organizations and events as required.

All other duties as assigned.
