The Role:

Are you mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, and customer-focused? OCS Technologies is seeking a Scale Technician to join our team. Whether you bring industry experience or are looking to grow into a technical role, this position offers a unique opportunity to build a rewarding career in scale calibration and service.

We are especially interested in candidates with prior experience in scale calibration or repair, but we're equally open to training individuals with the right attitude, strong work ethic, and mechanical aptitude.

Location: Northeast Ohio & Western Pennsylvania

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate, maintain, inspect, and repair mechanical and electronic weighing equipment
  • Perform all duties in accordance with ISO 17025 standards
  • Travel to customer sites to conduct accurate and timely calibrations
  • Interact with customers professionally throughout the entire calibration process
  • Maintain complete and accurate calibration records and documentation
  • Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to lift to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks (climbing, kneeling, standing)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word as well as data entry.
  • Excellent customer service skills. 
  • Good organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
  • Willingness to travel across Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania

Nice to Have:

  • Experience calibrating or repairing weighing equipment
  • Understanding of metrology principles, quality systems, or ISO standards
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, or physical calibration of equipment
  • Degree or certificate in engineering, electronics, or related technical fields
  • Military PMEL training or prior metrology experience
  • Familiarity with calibration software like IndySoft
