We are searching for an Assistant Director Ambulatory Services AP -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you provide accountability for the clinical, administrative, and human resources activities for the designated clinical area(s). Ensures the delivery of high-quality, developmentally appropriate patient and family-centered care at the unit level.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Nursing required

Certifications - Certified By Texas Board Of Nursing Required

  • FNP - Cert-Family Nurse Practitioner OR
  • NP - Nurse Practitioner OR
  • NNP - Neonatal Nurse Practitioner OR
  • WHNP-BC - Cert-Women’s Health Care OR
  • PNP-BC - Cert-Pediatric Nurse Practitioner OR
  • PA - Cert-Physician Assistant
  • 5 years’ experience in licensed clinical health care experience
  • 3 years’ experience in management/leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Partners with staff, medical and unit leadership to ensure clinical excellence within a family-centered care environment, utilizing multiple sources of information and reports as evidenced by trend identification and action plan development. Participates as a full partner with Medical Directors, physician leads and in partnership with healthcare provider team to ensure cohesive department communication
  • Demonstrates astute fiscal accountability, for the area of clinical responsibility, as evidenced by the appropriate management and justification of resources, which includes personnel, equipment, supplies, and capital
  • Identifies, facilitates, and participates in Performance Improvement projects that enhance and ensure safe patient care delivery systems as measured by improved and sustained outcomes and compliance with policies and procedures. Facilitates delivery of safe, effective, and patient/family-centered care that is timely, efficient, and equitable
  • Creates and facilitates collaboration and cooperation among diverse groups, people, and professional disciplines to achieve desired results
  • Patient Care: Responsible for all patient-focused activities in designated service area including (but not limited to) assessments, procedures, interpretation of data, and patient/family counseling
  • Commits to the on-going development of self, unit leadership team, and staff to achieve professional goals
