PURPOSE OF THE POSITION

The Sales Operations Manager aligns sales, marketing, and customer success operations to drive and accelerate the cash to order process. With improved forecasting this role is instrumental in increasing the sales predictability. Partners with finance, sales, and other cross-functional teams to drive planning, operational efficiency, effectiveness, and analytics to support revenue attainment. The responsibilities will span systems administration, data analysis, process optimization, technology enablement, and performance tracking, directly enabling our leaders to make informed choices.




CORE FUNCTIONS

Data Analysis, Operations, and Reporting

  • Responsible for tracking, analyzing, and reporting sales data to provide insights into team performance, identifying trends, and to inform strategic decisions.
  • Designing, calculating, and administering sales compensation plans, ensuring accuracy and alignment with sales goals, and working closely with accounting.
  • Forecasting and pipeline management to included developing and refining sales forecasts, managing the sales pipeline, and ensuring data accuracy within the CRM to support effective sales planning.
  • Synthesizing requirements to create clear and comprehensive reports, metrics, campaigns, and operational dashboards, including forecasts and Board-level reporting
  • Process optimization and efficiency to streamline sales processes, identify inefficiencies, and implement solutions to improve the overall productivity of the sales team
  • Empower, guide, and audit Sales and Customer Success teams to keep current records for contacts, opportunities, and other sales activities

Sales Administration

  • RFP Management providing the framework, process, timelines, direction, and support to make RFP responses efficient and effective
  • Sales Enablement providing the sales team with the tools, training (sales skills, process, and product knowledge), and resources they need for success
  • Business owner of Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ including holding other users responsible for their role in data input and management





POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years' experience in Sales Operations, GTM functions, Sales Planning, sales support; sales commission plans; and preferably in B2B SaaS environment
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mathematics, Analytics, Statistics or similar fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, PowerPoint, and Salesforce
  • Salesforce Admin or Developer certification preferred
  • Prior experience working across multiple organizational functions, such as variable compensation, sales forecasting, quota setting, market segmentation, business development, and GTM strategy
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable recommendations, reports, and presentations that leverage data to tell the story
  • Proficient in the administration, enhancements, and management of Salesforce and Salesforce CPQ
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - building deep, trust-based relationships with business and cross-functional partners
  • Proven track record of taking ownership, leading with data, diving deep without losing sight of the organizational outcomes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent project management skills, including success in maintaining and organizing data
  • Ability to operate successfully in a lean, fast-paced organization
  • Technology enthusiast demonstrated through work experience, hobbies, and/or education
  • Agile Mindset – the ability to work in an iterative manner that allows for rapid prototyping, effective feedback loops, and the ability to meet aggressive timelines




This position's anticipated base salary range is $109,000 to 148,000. Final compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and location.
