This position will report up into a Director of EHS and Sustainability and will have the opportunity to oversee 20+ sites with 25% travel. Description

The Senior Sustainability Manager - Manufacturing will be responsible for the following:

  • Develop and implement the company's sustainability strategy aligned with corporate goals, regulatory requirements, and global sustainability trends.
  • Establish short- and long-term sustainability goals (e.g., carbon reduction, zero waste, energy optimization) and monitor progress across all sites.
  • Oversee sustainability initiatives across 20+ manufacturing sites, providing guidance, support, and best practices to local teams.
  • Conduct regular site visits (approx. 25% travel) to assess sustainability practices, identify improvement opportunities, and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of sustainability-related data including GHG emissions, energy and water usage, and waste management.
  • Prepare annual sustainability reports and contribute to ESG disclosures (e.g., CDP, GRI, SASB, TCFD).
  • Partner with EHS, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Communications teams to drive integrated sustainability efforts.
  • Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory bodies, NGOs, and industry associations.
  • Identify and evaluate new technologies, processes, and partnerships that advance the company's sustainability performance.
  • Stay abreast of emerging regulations, trends, and best practices in corporate sustainability and ESG

Profile

The Senior Sustainability Manager - Manufacturing will have the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in sustainability roles, with at least 3 years at a corporate or multi-site leadership level in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, ESG frameworks, and sustainability reporting standards.
  • Proven ability to manage cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with sustainability management software and data systems is a plus.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 25% of the time to company facilities.

Job Offer

The Senior Sustainability Manager - Manufacturing will be rewarded with the following:

  • Base Salary of $125,000-$160,000 depending on experience
  • Bonus potential of 10%
