About the Role:

The Accountant will play a crucial role in enhancing our financial processes, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and driving continuous improvement. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, a proven track record of process optimization, and the ability to work collaboratively with different stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (multiple entities), review, and analysis while ensuring compliance with GAAP and applicable tax regulations
  • Reconciliation of GL accounts, banks, & merchants
  • Prepare sales tax and property tax and other compliances
  • Period-end accruals, allocation, and other closing functions
  • Maintain inventory and prepare adjustments
  • Verify accounting data accuracy, identity and correct errors
  • Maintain fixed assets & lease accounting
  • Assist in development of accounting policy & procedures
  • Research & implementation of new system
  • Assist with audits, both internal and external, as needed
  • Perform other accounting duties as needed.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of accounting experience
  • Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks or similar applications
  • Familiar with 13-period calendar accrual
  • Strong excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills


Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience with multi-unit and intercompany transactions
  • Understanding of restaurant accounting principles, such as inventory management and cost of goods sold (COGS)
  • Preferred industries: restaurant, warehouse, & manufacturing
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
