We are working with a growing private equity firm located in St. Louis and New York to find a Finance & Data Analytics Associate. The Financial and Data Analytics Associate will play a critical role in enhancing the operational efficiency, data integrity, and analytical capabilities of the firm. This individual will drive process improvements, implement automation, and support strategic decision-making across the firm’s private equity platform.

- Support the Finance team in automating and improving workflows related to daily operations, reporting, fund performance tracking, capital activity, expense and fee allocation, vendor management, and portfolio company valuation and monitoring.
- Analyze existing processes for inefficiencies and errors and lead redesign and implementation of improved workflows.
- Collaborate with Fund Operations, Strategy, and Investor Relations teams to review and enhance the firm’s data, systems, and processes, driving automation and minimizing manual interventions.
- Ensure the establishment and maintenance of a “golden source” of data, promoting data integrity and accessibility across teams.
- Help develop and maintain forecasting, scenario analysis, and financial planning tools and dashboards, enabling self-service and minimizing manual data entry.
- Support new fund launches and portfolio company onboarding by implementing robust, scalable data structures and processes.
- Promote best practices in data governance, quality and security.
- Train and mentor team members in technical and analytical skills, including the use of AI, automation, coding, and data structuring tools.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Finance, Accounting or Data Analytics, preferably within private equity or investment management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Data Science, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, Six Sigma) a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in process mapping, error diagnosis, and process improvement methodologies (Lean/Six-Sigma preferred).
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA), Power BI, and Power Automate.
- Strong programming skills in Python and experience with database design and SQL querying.
- Proficiency/credentials in data structuring and organization.
- Familiarity with AI tools and prompt engineering.
- Strong communication and data visualization skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and frameworks.
