**Roles and Responsibilities**
This position is responsible for running daily operations at the West McArthur Production Facility. Daily responsibilities include:
- Open and shut in wellheads, adjust Electric Submersible Pump speeds, divert wells to allocation meter, operate wellhead safety valve systems and any other wellhead operations and activities.
- Preparing wells for wire-line, coil tubing and drilling rig workovers.
- Witnessing and assisting the State of Alaska representative during SVS testing.
- Operate facility and camp utility equipment, such as emergency generators, Firewater sprinkler pumps, potable water pumps, diesel pumps, etc.
- Start and stop production equipment, daily rounds and readings of process equipment, utilities and secondary containments, execute lockout/tagout procedures, taking oil and gas samples, adjust chemical usage rates, tank strapping, filling out work permits, walkway snow removal and any other platform operations or activities.
- Operate, troubleshoot, test, and perform minor repairs or maintenance tasks on production equipment, buildings, safety devices, etc. in a safe, economic, and environmentally sound manner without supervision. Production equipment can include wellhead equipment, 3 Phase Metering equipment, tanks, vessels, three phase separators, transmission equipment, process pumps and pigging equipment.
- Identifies opportunities for improvements in production, cost efficiencies, problem areas (pump and motor failures, tank failures, electrical issues, chemical usage, etc.) and communicates solutions to the Kustatan Lead Operator.
- Startup, shutdown and observe and react to normal and abnormal operations of all Pipelines, assist with pigging operations and other maintenance activities associated with the CIE Pipelines.
- Participating in facility modifications and special projects as needed or perform other duties as assigned by the Kustatan Lead Operator.
- Supporting Facility Engineers with redlines to P&IDs and Cause & Effect diagrams as needed during system changes (equipment, piping, valve, and instrumentation installations or removal).
- Assisting in the resolution of technical problems and safety issues.
- Maintain an excellent personal safety and environmental record and competently perform daily functions to ensure safe practices and environmental compliance in accordance with Glacier Oil & Gas policies.
- Responsible for participating in all safety training and assisting in safety procedures such as basic first aid, CPR, fire drills, spill response and emergency evacuation.
- Meeting and keeping current with required operator certifications, regulatory training and compliance requirements.
- Maintaining operational accountability and keeping the Kustatan Lead Operator updated on the production and operational status of the assigned area.
- Notifying Kustatan Lead Operator of complex production and maintenance issues that require corrective action.
- Communicating daily operational goals and needs effectively to operations personnel and Kustatan Lead Operator.
- Reporting all spills, near misses, injuries, and property damage to the Kustatan Lead Operator.
- Demonstrate support of Glacier Oil & Gas health, safety and environmental goals to all personnel and contractors on site.

- Commitment to an established work schedule, attendance standards and punctuality to work and meetings.

### **Industry Experience**
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Production Operator or Facility Operator in oil & gas (Cook Inlet, North Slope, or similar)
- Strong understanding of production facility operations, wellhead management, and safety valve systems
- Experience supporting well intervention operations (wireline, coiled tubing, drilling rig workovers)
- Hands-on experience operating:
- Familiarity with starting/stopping equipment, adjusting chemical injection systems, and strapping tanks
- Able to conduct daily rounds, complete logs, and read process indicators and gauges
- Capable of performing routine troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs
- Experience supporting pipeline operations and pigging procedures
- Proficient in executing lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and writing work permits
- Familiar with P&IDs and Cause & Effect diagrams; ability to redline documents during system changes
- Knowledge of basic sampling procedures (oil/gas/water), inventory tracking, and permit-to-work systems
- Strong commitment to HSE standards and environmental compliance
- Current or willing to obtain:
- Knowledge of spill response and emergency shutdown procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork in remote, rotational environments
- Proven reliability with remote shiftwork and maintaining production accountability
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and escalate complex issues when needed
