Compensation: $52,000+ Benefits which include:
Medical (Anthem): 3 copay/deductible options; base plan is $40/paycheck
Vision (Mutual of Omaha): $60 per year; $130 hardware allowance- Employee Funded
Dental (Mutual of Omaha): $500 per year; $1,750 annual benefit- Employee Funded
Life: 1 x Salary to $100K; paid by CIRI
Voluntary Life: Available to employees and family
Disability: 60% of earnings; paid by CIRI
Position Summary
The Development Coordinator is a key member of the Connecticut Institute for Refugees and Immigrants' (CIRI) development team, responsible for supporting the organization's fundraising, donor relations, and communications efforts. The Development Coordinator works closely with the Senior Manager of Donor and Board Engagement to implement CIRI's development strategy, manage donor databases, coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, and support external communications.

The Development Coordinator works closely with the Senior Manager of Donor and Board Engagement to implement CIRI's development strategy, manage donor databases, coordinate fundraising campaigns and events, and support external communications.
Responsibilities
Fundraising & Development
- Assist in implementing annual fundraising campaigns, including direct mail, online appeals, and peer-to-peer fundraising.
- Maintain donor records and track contributions in CIRI's donor database.
- Prepare donor reports and analytics.
- Conduct donor research and help identify funding opportunities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of all aspects of development events, including two major events (a Gala and a Benefit Concert), community gatherings, and donor cultivation events.
- Assist in coordinating event logistics, including vendor management, tracking sponsorship benefits, and conduct follow-up event communications.
- Serve as the point person for registration before and during events, including managing guest lists, check-in, name tags, and seating.
- Generate timely and accurate donor acknowledgments and tax receipts.
- Track grant and sponsorship deadlines and assist with proposal submissions.
- Maintain organized records of fundraising activities and correspondence.
- Coordinate internal Development meetings, including coordinating conference rooms, determine catering needs, etc.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 1'2 years of nonprofit development or fundraising experience.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with donor databases (e.g., Bloomerang, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
- Passion for immigrant and refugee rights and social justice.
