Job Summary
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients in the Labor and Delivery unit
- Monitor patient progress and provide education and support to expectant mothers
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best patient outcomes
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for Labor and Delivery patients
- Monitor fetal and maternal well-being during labor
- Administer medications and perform interventions as prescribed
- Assist with labor procedures and deliveries, including high-risk cases
- Provide postpartum care and education to patients and their families
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Follow all safety and infection control protocols
- 1 year of recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in nursing
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field
- Over 5 years of recent experience (must have occurred within the last 2 years) in Labor and Delivery
- 1 year of high-risk labor and delivery experience within the last 2 years
- High-risk OB experience
- Registered Nurse License (active and in good standing)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
