Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and leadership to achieve company and departmental goals and objectives within set budgets to the Hydraulic Build Unit (HBU) assembly & Mechanical Assembly Teams
  • Organize and manage departmental activities and processes to meet established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage department employees to achieve Performance Requirements.
  • Work schedules and Paid Time Off (PTO)
  • Performance reviews
  • Disciplinary Actions
  • Timecard Approval
  • Monitor employee ERP transactions and paperwork documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Maintain and enforce company policies and procedures per the Employee Handbook.
  • Participate in hiring staff that meet departmental objectives and support Orion’s Mission and Values.
  • Maintain and manage department training program and development of staff.
  • Lead and ensure departmental compliance to Orion Quality Management System (QMS) and AS9100.
  • Complete nonconformance reports and corrective action reports in support of internal or external audits or findings.
  • Supporting preventative maintenance program and working with Maintenance Department to improve preventative maintenance program.
  • Provide leadership in enforcing and exemplifying the Orion Safety Program.
  • Audit shop areas for safety hazards to eliminate safety risks.
  • Other assigned duties, projects, and continuous improvements.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Supervisory experience Required
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience Preferred.
  • 5+ years of Mechanical Assembly Experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing Facility Required
  • 8+ years of Mechanical Assembly Experience in the Aerospace industry is highly desirable.
  • Familiar with AS9100 Quality System requirements.
  • Experience using Epicor and/or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational program management skills.
  • Strong mechanical inclination or experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Valid Washington state driver license.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite programs.
