Bookkeeper - Urgent Hire

Our client, a Construction Service Company in Fishers, IN, is looking for a Bookkeeper. The owner needs a top-notch person to help them manage their growing business. Our client's vision is that you will initially support bookkeeping functions and eventually gain the experience and knowledge to assume more accounting responsibilities.

This is an evaluation, contract-to-hire, paying $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, depending on experience.

What will you do as the Bookkeeper?

• Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card and bank reconciliations, and manage the accounts payables and accounts receivables process.
• Work with the general contractor or project manager and provide detailed financial reporting to ensure costs, timeline, and budget of construction projects are accurately forecasted.
• Perform extensive data entry to ensure all financial data is input into accounting software.
• Update and maintain accurate financial records, contracts, annual budgets, tax reports, and financial statements.
• Process invoices, checks, and payroll accurately and on time and resolve any invoice issues.
• Safeguard the accuracy of the general ledger and journal entries, prepare balance sheets, and financial reports.
  
  

As the Bookkeeper you will have at least 2 years of experience with full-charge bookkeeping or accounting, ideally with some construction experience. QuickBooks experience is highly desired, and you must be proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel. A bright smile, customer service focus and fun attitude will be given top consideration!
