Position Summary
Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, is seeking a Research Associate III to join the Cell Line Development (CLD) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating recombinant CHO cell lines to support research and preclinical development programs. This is a high-impact, collaborative position supporting Sanofi’s biologics pipeline in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Sanofi’s contingent workforce program, FLEXT Direct, is seeking a Research Associate III to join the Cell Line Development (CLD) team. The successful candidate will play a key role in generating recombinant CHO cell lines to support research and preclinical development programs. This is a high-impact, collaborative position supporting Sanofi’s biologics pipeline in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in generating engineered mammalian cell lines (transfection pools, clones) expressing candidate biotherapeutics
- Conduct sterile mammalian cell culture techniques (suspension cultures), including:
- Cell counting
- Passaging
- Cryopreservation
- Execute basic molecular biology techniques including:
- DNA plasmid preparation
- PCR
- Restriction enzyme digestion
- Support multiple studies simultaneously to optimize CLD processes
- Prepare and present clear reports, data summaries, and technical presentations
- Maintain compliance with all applicable safety and documentation regulations (SOPs, internal policies)
- Contribute to lab operations including:
- Reagent tracking
- Lab organization
- General lab support tasks
- Participate in team and lab meetings; share progress and results effectively
- Manage data collection, consolidation, and presentation using relevant tools
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, Cellular Biology, Molecular Biology, or a related field
- Academic or research experience in Cell Biology or Molecular Biology
- Hands-on experience in suspension culture of CHO cell lines within a biotech or pharmaceutical setting
- Working knowledge of:
- Mammalian cell culture
- Molecular manipulation techniques
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a goal-oriented environment
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
