What we will achieve together :

The HR Generalist will support HR procedures and initiatives across three locations: Irvine, Montebello and Santa Fe Springs in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. Under the supervision of the HR Director the HR Generalist will work in partnership with managers and supervisors to assist with onboarding, training, benefits administration, employee engagement, policy implementation, and employee relations. Under the guidance of the Payroll and Benefits Supervisor the HR Generalist is responsible for processing payroll activities, including reporting, on a weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly basis.

Salary Range: $72,000 - $90,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of HR department and services performed
  • Support learning and development through analysis of training needs, assistance with preparation and delivery of training sessions and collection of feedback post training to evaluate effectiveness
  • Serve as a point of contact for employee leaves of absence request. Mange end-to-end correspondence with employees
  • Provide support on employee relations issues, including counseling, investigations and resolution
  • Build strong relationships and consultations with teams to ensure HR strategies are executed effectively to drive a high-performance work environment
  • Assist with employee onboarding process, including training on company timekeeping system and benefit enrollment process.
  • Support employee off-boarding process, conduct employee exit interviews, prepare and issue final paperwork
  • Maintain human resource information system records up-to-date and compiles reports from the database
  • Partner with management to drive and communicate employee engagement initiatives including recognition programs, annual events and charitable activities
  • Support payroll bi-weekly payroll process, through review and verification of employee timecards and follow up on missing or incorrect information.
  • Process bi-weekly and monthly payroll – ensuring headcount balances and all adjustments are recorded.
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely manner
  • Participate in special payroll projects under the direction of the Payroll and Benefits Supervisor
  • Prepare periodic reports as needed for management, hours worked, overtime and vacation balances.
  • Utilize HRIS systems to process monthly and quarterly labor and headcount reporting for parent company
  • Provide administrative support in full recruitment life cycle, from sourcing candidates to onboarding.
  • Provide administrative support for annual talent review cycles, including communication, data collection and follow ups.
  • Support employer branding initiatives through analysis of HR trends and best practices for recommendation of process improvements to enhance efficiency

Bring your competencies :

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in Human Resource Generalist role. Preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing company with an international presence.

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resource or related.

Certification: SHRM, PHR, PHRca
