Prime Air is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Flight Operations Coordinator, a key position within our innovative drone delivery hub operations. This role is essential for maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and operational excellence. The Flight Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations across all shifts by strategically assigning staff, balancing workloads, and planning break rotations meticulously. Beyond leading shifts, this individual is entrusted with the critical responsibility of addressing and resolving complex operational challenges, either through direct intervention or by guiding teams towards effective solutions.
Key job responsibilities
This role requires the ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
This role may require travel, up to 25% of the time.
Export Control License
This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazon’s ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
This position may be subject to Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol testing. Federal law requires Amazon to determine an applicant’s history of Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and/or alcohol violations(s) or refusal(s) to test before hiring him/her into a safety-sensitive position, if applicable.

Key job responsibilities
- Oversee and ensure the effective and efficient operation of drone delivery hub operations during their shift, maintaining the highest standards of service and operational excellence.
- Demonstrate Ownership by taking accountability for shift outcomes, proactively resolving issues, and leading the team to meet or exceed operational goals.
- Monitor task execution and dive deep into multiple workflow data platforms to identify and correct imbalances or risks before they impact service.
- Serve as the primary escalation point on shift, using strong judgment to resolve complex issues and remove barriers that impact flight readiness, delivery, or safety.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and collaborate with management and other departments to implement effective solutions.
- Ensure timely and effective communication during shift handovers, cross-site updates, and daily stand-ups.
- Participate in or lead review meetings with the site team and Prime Air leadership.

- Current Part 107 License
- Current FAA Third-Class medical certificate
- Experience with common business applications and tools (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite)
- Experience guiding, training and mentoring others
- 1+ year of experience in a leadership or coordination role within flight operations, logistics, or a related field
- Knowledge of aviation safety standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
