The Materials Specialist handles properly receiving product (freight and parcel), stock product, pull orders, prepare and ship product, and product maintenance.

What You Will Do
The Materials Specialist handles properly receiving product (freight and parcel), stock product, pull orders, prepare and ship product, and product maintenance.
Some Key Responsibilities For Materials Specialists
- Product awareness
- Accurately record/process inventory & shipment transactions electronically and manually as appropriate
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments / examine & count
- Record/report overages/shortages, damage & product discrepancies
- Re-pack/label as required to ensure product quality
- Stock product to correct bin locations
- Cycle counting & bin maintenance
- Monitor system to determine ship orders
- Accurately pull and prepare orders (parcel & pallet packing) for shipping
- Determine method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures
- Process shipments according to customer guidelines
- Operate Fed Ex and UPS systems, prepare BOLs & shipping documents
- Meet shipping deadlines
- Operate a sit-down & stand-up PIT to lift & move shipping/receiving/warehouse materials & product throughout storage & work areas
- Maintain self-motivation and work with minimum supervision
