The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for supporting Manufacturing and R&D Engineering activities, including production, production support, engineering support, and documentation tasks to achieve world-class results. Responsible for assisting the development and production efforts of both durable and disposable medical products.

Compensation is determined based on a wide range of factors including location, job-related skills, experience, education, and training. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. This pay range is specific to Northern California location. Base salary range: $90K - $110K

The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for supporting Manufacturing and R&D Engineering activities, including production, production support, engineering support, and documentation tasks to achieve world-class results. Responsible for assisting the development and production efforts of both durable and disposable medical products.
To Make An Impact, You Will
- Support Manufacturing and R&D Engineers in the performance of their day-to-day activities.
- Assist with Engineering, R&D, Operations, and Quality to aid in the transition of products and processes to manufacturing.
- Help define operations processes, including aiding in the creation and modification of Process Instructions, Test Protocols, Device History Files, etc.
- Execute verification and validation activities when needed.
- Assist in product transfer of manufacturing to contract manufacturer including training of staff.
- Contribute to operations initiatives, apply rigorous technical methods to continually improve quality, reduce cost, reduce cycle time and simplify processes.
- Create, review, and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional groups in implementing product labeling and marking.
- Assist in facilities expansion & facilities maintenance as needed.
- 5+ years of experience in a technical environment or Associate’s Degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, or equivalent vocational training and a minimum of 3 years experience.
- Bachelor’s degree a plus.
- Medical device industry experience preferred.
- Startup experience a plus.
- Experience with SolidWorks, Adobe Acrobat Professional, Bartender (labeling), Zebra Printer hardware/software a plus.
- Proficient knowledge and skill in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASME and other relevant national standards for engineering documentation preferred.
- Must be flexible, detailed oriented, and extremely organized with a positive outlook, enthusiasm, and high energy.
- Ability to work as a team member, multi-task and be very flexible to adapt to the ever-changing work priorities and requirements of a dynamic, fast growing company.
- Ability to lift 10-15 pounds.
