Job Overview

J & D Heating and Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled and motivated Construction Supervisor / Foreman to lead our New Construction HVAC projects in the Ft. Myers region. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing installation crews, managing workflow, and ensuring top-tier quality and safety on every job. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal and ductwork, as well as a proven ability to lead teams effectively on both commercial and residential job sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the installation, modification, and repair of sheet metal and duct systems.
• Lead teams of sheet metal workers and duct board mechanics on residential and commercial projects.
• Supervise, train, and support field technicians and mechanics, setting high standards for safety and workmanship.
• Ensure full compliance with job site safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, customers, and subcontractors to maintain schedules and budgets.
• Troubleshoot field issues quickly and efficiently, providing expert guidance and solutions.
• Ensure all installations meet or exceed quality standards and mechanical code requirements.
• Submit daily or weekly reports detailing progress, completions, issues, and materials usage.
• Assist in planning manpower allocation and workflow to ensure timely project delivery.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical school or HVAC certifications preferred.
• 5+ years of HVAC installation experience, including sheet metal and ductwork.
• 2+ years of supervisory or foreman experience in a construction or mechanical setting.
• Deep understanding of HVAC system installations for new construction.
• Proficient in reading blueprints and mechanical schematics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in diverse environments.
• Knowledge of jobsite safety protocols and applicable codes.

Schedule

• Full-time - Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Occasional Saturday or extended hours depending on project deadlines
