**Hutchinson and Walter** **is seeking multiple Staff Accountants for its Bellevue office.**
JOB DESCRIPTION: Staff Accountants are responsible for preparing basic, standard, and advanced returns, reviewing basic and standard returns, communicating with specified clients. Specifically, they are responsible for preparing 1041, 706 and 709 returns, advanced 1040, and business entity returns, and reviewing selected entity returns as well as basic and standard 1040 returns. They will provide quarterly tax estimates and other related tax planning documentation under the guidance of a director. They will assist with return or financial statement preparation, budget preparation and improvements to accounting system. They will review general ledger and journal entries by bookkeeping staff and includes monitoring accounts for discrepancies, and reviews reconciliations of all bank accounts in a timely manner. They will make suggestions for improvement of policies or procedures to reduce the client's tax liability. They will remain informed about changes in tax laws as relevant to our clients. They will provide technical assistance and advice to accounting staff to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations, manage some basic and standard clients, and maintain engagement binder proficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: **Bachelor's Degree in Accounting** plus one year of experience as an Accountant or closely related occupation, including one year working with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, **CCH Axcess Suite**, **QuickBooks Online** & Desktop.
Experience may be gained concurrently. Employer will accept any equivalent combination of education, experience, or training, specifically, a **Master's of Science degree in Accounting** in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and one year of experience as an Accountant or related occupation.
The salary for this role is between $85,862 and $90,000 per year. The actual salary offer can vary based on multiple factors including but not limited to skillsets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, applicable geographic differentials, and business and organizational needs.
