Senior Product Marketing Manager

Job Description

The Senior Product Marketing Manager is responsible for the technical product marketing of MACOM’s MMIC portfolio. This position involves collaboration with multiple functional groups, including the global sales team, design engineering, and quality assurance, to grow revenue, advocate for customers, and serve as a subject matter expert on MACOM’s technologies and products. The role includes supporting on-site customer visits, driving new product definitions based on customer feedback and trends, and enabling the sales team's success through collateral, training, and new product introductions.

Responsibilities

  • Ownership of new product strategy and roadmap.
  • Translate new customer requirements into recommendations for new product development.
  • Identify new market needs and translate them into specific product requirements with prioritized features and corresponding justification.
  • Understand product pricing strategies and develop new product business cases.
  • Program management for custom product developments.
  • Maintain a detailed 4-quarter rolling sales forecast.
  • Drive opportunity funnel expansion and new business growth.
  • Develop business proposals for internal and external engagements.
  • Ensure the regional sales teams are current with the latest product collateral, training, roadmaps, and application value proposition.
  • Support on-site customer visits as MMIC subject matter expert.
  • Engage internal support teams (applications, product development, reliability, quality, planning, operations) to build and sustain the product line and help resolve customer technical or delivery issues as required.
  • Be an expert on competitors' capabilities and product positioning in the market.
  • Execute deliverables for distribution sales, including design registrations, ship & debits, and pricing.
  • Be a self-starter in the creation of product-specific collateral and tools.

Key Competencies And Experience

  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device technology and assembly.
  • Strong understanding of RF semiconductor testing, qualification, and reliability.
  • Strong understanding of RF semiconductor applications.
  • Good general knowledge of RF sales, RF markets, and customer base.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel, including internationally as necessary.
  • Self-motivated with a strong drive to achieve business objectives.
  • Ability to blend technical and commercial aspects to deliver a balanced approach to problems.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience.

Required Qualifications And Experience

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • MBA or Business degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in the industry.
  • Extensive experience supporting customers, direct sales, and distribution sales partners.
  • Extensive experience with new product launches and new business development
