The Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) Specialist shall be responsible for the localization, implementation, and administration of all applicable environmental, health, safety and security programs and related company policies. EHS&S Specialist shall aid in developing, updating, and training employees on EHS&S procedures and policies. As required, EHS&S Specialist shall audit/inspect, collect and analyze data required for all environmental and safety reporting to secure compliance with all Federal, State and local EHS regulations. This EHS&S role will demonstrate positive floor presence through engagement and leading the Company safety initiative at the local facility.

- Support and assist with the development of a sustainable high-performing safety and environmental excellence culture via the implementation of corporate programs and standards.
- Support and assist with regulatory requirements; OSHA, EPA, DEP, IH practices etc.
- Track progress on security, safety, health, environmental and sustainability objectives and goals in support of the regional and global strategy.
- Conduct audits and inspections to support corporate and regulatory standards.
- Help to maintain the sites RC14001 Management System. Support continuous improvement initiatives regarding EHS&S policies and programs.
- Coordinate the sites EHS&S, PEO, Safety Down Day and other committees.
- Support the investigation processes of incidents and track corrective actions to completion.
- Conduct required employee training, GEMBA walks, and other corporate assessment tasks.
- Perform JSA and other document reviews.
- Responsible for Contractor Program.
- Assist in assessing PPE and working with vendors to ensure proper PPE type and quantity are sufficient.
- Assist in KAITEKI and other waste reduction programs
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety / environmental science or related field is preferred.
- Position requires a minimum of 1 year of EHS leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis.
- Knowledge of RC14001.
- Knowledge of HazMat – disposal of Haz and Non-Haz materials.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is a plus.
- Must possess leadership skills and the ability to interact at all levels within an organization, with customers and with outside agencies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to write reports and procedures.
- Effective project management skills: self-motivated, team oriented, timely, excellent recordkeeping and documentation skills.
- The salary range for this position is $60,800 - $76,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
