SunButter, LLC is currently seeking a dynamic Shopper Marketing Manager to join their growing Sales & Marketing team.

We are a leading CPG (consumer packaged goods) company that specializes in manufacturing and distributing high-quality organic and plant-based food products. As we continue to expand our market presence, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Shopper Marketing Manager for leading the strategy and execution of omni-channel shopper marketing initiatives to drive growth, conversion, and brand engagement across key retail partners. This role manages the development, implementation, and analysis of shopper-focused programs, with a strong emphasis on retail media networks and performance measurement. The Shopper Marketing Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Brand Marketing, agency partners, and external retail media teams to ensure alignment and executional excellence.

Location Requirement:

While this position is currently remote, we are in the process of establishing an office in the Northwest suburbs of Minneapolis (Maple Grove/Plymouth/St. Louis Park). Once we establish a local office, this role will transition to a hybrid schedule requiring in-office presence 3 days per week minimum. We’re building a collaborative local team and value the flexibility of remote work paired with in-person connection for key meetings, team collaboration, and cultural engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Execution
  • Develop and implement growth-oriented, results-driven shopper marketing plans that align with brand and sales strategies.
  • Manage omni-channel shopper activations, ensuring flawless execution and consistent retail presence.
  • Leverage data and insights to inform strategies and continuously optimize performance.
  • Retail Media Leadership
  • Lead retail media strategy and execution across major platforms (e.g., Walmart Connect, Roundel, Instacart, 84.51).
  • Partner with internal analytics teams to drive ROI through ongoing testing and optimization.
  • Collaborate with customer teams to build strong, data-backed programs.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Foster strong partnerships with Sales, Brand Marketing, and agencies to ensure integrated planning and execution.
  • Engage with retail customer teams and their media networks to drive alignment and maximize program impact.
  • Post-campaign Analysis
  • Conduct post-promotion evaluations to measure impact, profitability, and effectiveness of shopper tactics.
  • Apply key learnings to enhance future planning and execution.
  • Trade Show Management
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to create a strong brand presence at major trade shows.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in CPG Sales and/or Marketing
  • Proven experience developing and executing shopper marketing and customer activation plans
  • Strong knowledge of retail trends, consumer behavior, and retailer media platforms
  • Proficient in analyzing syndicated data sources (e.g., IRI/Circana, Nielsen, Spins, Retailer POS)
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to apply insights to real-time business decisions
  • Strategic thinker with a high level of creativity and business acumen
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field; MBA a plus
  • Ability to travel approximately 15-30%
