Wyoming Woods is actively seeking a dedicated individual to join our nursing department and work to create a positive and supportive team atmosphere within the home, where all staff members contribute and are valued.

The House Manager will provide leadership to the team by providing support and direction to staff. Identify opportunities for improvement and actively participate in their implementation. Coordinate and communicate with the support team to maintain, promote, and monitor residents’ health and wellness. You will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care and support to our valued residents and staff.

Essential Functions- Job Duties: The following duties are considered essential to the job. Qualified individuals must have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to perform the following duties:

  • Perform job duties of Care Aide and Med Tech positions
  • Rounds on your assigned shifts noting general health of residents if any outstanding issues notify ED or their designated representative.
  • Ensure that all documentation regarding medications and care is completed (for all shifts)
  • Serve as the primary med pass staff
  • Review the communication log and update as necessary and that staff is initialing that they are reading the communication log
  • Review and update (with ED) the care plans for all residents in their building
  • Call the hospital daily on residents that are in the hospital to assist with discharge planning. Note the phone call in the proper documentation system.
  • When you receive new orders for any medication (discharge from hospital or a physician visit) ensure that they are sent to the ED for review and approval in the EMR. If you note any discrepancy the ED or their designated representative must be notified for clarification and any changes needed.
  • 1st line of contact for home care agencies, guardians, hospitals, families, and physicians. Report to ED during daily rounds any outstanding concerns.
  • Ensure that your building is always tour ready. Open beds are made and in model condition. Report to ED any maintenance needs.
  • Make sure time sheets are updated and ready for ED approval
  • Supervise direct care staff and discuss any concerns with ED.
  • Act as the shift supervisor in the absence of the ED and DOW. When required by state regulations, the shift supervisor should be noted on the schedule, both as planned and as worked.
  • Reviews and approves timesheets for the nursing department in the absence of a DOW
  • Develop and maintain nursing staff schedules and daily assignments
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervisory staff.


Job Requirements: Education & Knowledge Requirements- Specific education, certification, and licensure:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CNA or MA highly preferred or in the process of obtaining CNA or MA
  • Individuals in this position must have obtained age eighteen (18) prior to first day of employment or transfer into position
  • Current First Aid and CPR/AED Certification, or willingness to be trained by Cardinal Senior Living during employment.


Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities:

  • Ability to complete the necessary physical movements to move residents by wheel chair
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language
  • Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally (1-33% of workday)
  • Ability to complete and maintain documentation regarding a resident’s status


Preferred Job-Related Experience/Abilities/Education:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • One (1) year experience in the long-term care industry
