Role Summary
Identify and respond to building and/or equipment repair and maintenance issues. Schedule, monitor, repair, and/or complete the maintenance of the equipment and/or facility. Work with PDC and/or RDC leadership to ensure building and equipment is operationally safe. Ensure compliance of regulatory OSHA and other regulatory laws. Ensure safety compliance protecting employees and the proper maintenance of equipment as described by the manufacturer. Manage maintenance vendor relationships. Perform general warehouse duties, including pick/pack/ship.

Role Summary

Role Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities – 50%
- Oversee the maintenance of electrical, plumbing and mechanical repairs, including the replacement, construction and installation of bin equipment. Assign work orders.
- Manage preventative maintenance programs for facility equipment.
- Oversee and ensure that the building, grounds, and equipment are clean and maintained.
- Assist the Warehouse Operations Manager in the development, implementation, and administration of all building and equipment operational policies, programs, and systems
- Work with the PDC or RDC Leadership and outside vendors to source Outside Contractor bids.
- Complete maintenance as needed
- Acts as Site Safety Coordinator
- Support operational tasks as needed (Shipping, Receiving, Inventory, etc.)
- Delegates work assignments to vendors and contracts as needed
- Follows up on progress and reports back to management
- Help maintain employee training matrix for safety related topics
- Ensure safety requirements are followed within operation and with vendors.
- All Vendors signed into logbook, all vendors follow local and OSHA safety requirements. No reported incidences with safety and operational procedures.
- Attend required RCRA, OSHA, and DOT safety training as needed. Assist with training warehouse staff as needed.
- Work with Inventory Manager to maintain Hazardous Waste storage area and ensure compliance following RCRA Guidelines
- Assume responsibility, accountability through thorough follow up with service request tickets and complete all open items in a timely manner. Follow up weekly on all service request and report status to manager weekly. Review check list items to ensure no infractions have been sited and that housekeeping, and safety expectations are met.
- Communicate with peers and management. Provide management with the weekly facility log, and monthly log that identifies open issues and status of open issues.
- No reported incidents, verbal or visual, of safety issues that have not been resolved in a timely manner, facility housekeeping issues, and follow up on open facility issues.
Years of Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in warehouse/distribution center maintenance experience
- Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience required
- Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason, creative and strategic
- Communication skills – interpersonal, presentation and written
- Computer savvy – skilled in the use of software

- Excellent understanding of industry standard parts operations

- 5-7 years maintenance experience
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and procedures
- Strong knowledge of safety and maintenance best practices
- Ability to operate general warehouse equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Facility equipment and safety (e.g., Hazmat) training
- Formal OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration of US) or WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Materials
- Ability to work overtime as needed
