Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and process import entries through U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) using ACE
  • Classify goods using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS).
  • Submit and manage timely and accurate Importer Security Filing (ISF/10+2) in accordance with CBP regulations.
  • Verify documentation such as commercial invoices, bills of lading, packing lists, and arrival notices.
  • Coordinate with clients, freight forwarders, carriers, and government agencies to ensure timely release of cargo.
  • Monitor the status of shipments and resolve issues such as holds, exams, or missing documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with CBP regulations and company procedures.
  • Update and maintain internal systems and records.
  • Provide customer service and support to import clients regarding entry status, clearance timelines, and required documentation.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience in customs brokerage, freight forwarding, or international trade preferred.
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ACE, ABI systems, and related import software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
