Role Description
Breaking into the job market as a college student is harder than ever. Companies are ghosting candidates, hiring classes are shrinking, and the competition is fierce. We're on a mission to help students navigate this new reality by interviewing top business leaders and sharing their advice on landing that first job and launching a successful career.
As part of this team, you’ll be our front-facing content creator and storyteller. You’ll reach out to potential guests, conduct interviews, and write scripts for our editors to transform into high-impact content. Your work will be shared with an audience of over 20,000 students—so your voice and contributions will make a real difference.
As you grow in this role, you’ll also help shape the next version of our content strategy, making it even more relevant and useful for today’s students.
Here’s An Example Of The Final Form Of What You’ll Create And The Types Of People We Get To Talk To

Who We’re Looking For
People who want to tell stories and are excited about creating content for their fellow students. The best performers we’ve had are people who want to understand what makes people tick, help tell our guests’ stories, and are interested in digging deep into a person’s background to understand who they are/uncovering their specific why/throughline. It’s really like constructing a puzzle through deep research so if you like putting puzzle pieces together, this is the role for you.

We’ll be coaching you all the way through and you’ll also have the chance to work with a peer mentor who can guide you in our different processes. If you complete this full training period you’ll be paid $120.

Throughout the process if you have any questions we’re always happy to give coaching and guidance so feel free to reach out. Sometimes we do get inundated with questions though so it might take us a bit to get back to you.
- Pre-Stage (Survey): Fill out a quick survey about your availability throughout the fall, time zone, etc.
- Stage 1 (Long Form Content Creation): Create two Podcast Intros (we’ll provide the interview and format) for two different interviews we’ve previously done and record them. You’ll also have to write the caption for each interview that will have the keywords and style that will hook a person to want to click and listen to the podcast.
- Stage 2 (Medium & Short Form Content Creation): Using the same interviews and based on our formats for medium and short form content, create medium and short form scripts for the two interviews (2 medium pieces and 4 short pieces). You’ll also have to write the caption for each interview that will have the keywords and style that will hook a person and cause them to stop scrolling and listen to our content.
- Stage 3 (Writing Submission): Send us your two best writing samples. Ideally an article or social media post that you’ve written or created that you think highlights you as a creator/writer. If you don’t have any of these, no worries. Just send us your two best essays from school.
- Stage 4 (Writing Test): You’ll do 20 custom guest requests (we’ll supply the template and examples)
- Stage 5 (Questions To Get To Know You): We’ll ask you to respond to a series of questions (mostly written form and one video based) to get to know you as a person
- Stage 6 (Research): You’ll conduct a deep dive research case into two of the people we’ve met and see how you build a set of questions that show your understanding of them as a person as well as what you think would be interesting about them to ask and for students to learn in the interview.
- Stage 7 (Behavioral Interview): We’ll ask you some questions about different life situations to see how you approach them
- Stage 8 (Team Fit Interview): You’ll get a chance to meet the current student team manager to have a vibe check and see if you like the team and if we think you’ll be a good fit for us.
- Stage 9 (Discussion): We want to get to know you, your goals and ambitions. We want to be a launchpad for students and we want to understand how we can help you get where you want to go so we’ll make sure we’re aligned and can help. Finally we’ll play a few video based games to see how you solve problems/puzzles.
