Position Summary
The Scheduler is responsible for organizing and releasing job orders to the production floor based on planning direction and customer deadlines. This role ensures that daily production schedules are updated, communicated, and aligned with available materials and equipment. The Scheduler acts as a key point of coordination between Planning, Production, and supporting departments to ensure smooth execution of work orders.

Position Summary
The Scheduler is responsible for organizing and releasing job orders to the production floor based on planning direction and customer deadlines. This role ensures that daily production schedules are updated, communicated, and aligned with available materials and equipment. The Scheduler acts as a key point of coordination between Planning, Production, and supporting departments to ensure smooth execution of work orders.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Translate production plans into daily and weekly job schedules.
- Release job tickets and work orders to the production floor in alignment with production priorities.
- Coordinate with department leads to verify resource availability and adjust job start times as needed.
- Update scheduling systems and spreadsheets with real-time status and changes.
- Communicate schedule changes, job conflicts, or material delays to planning and production leadership.
- Assist with tracking job progress and maintaining schedule adherence throughout each shift.
- Ensure job sequencing aligns with deadlines and customer expectations.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1–3 years of experience in scheduling, production support, or coordination—preferably in printing, manufacturing, or logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive tasks .
- Effective communicator across departments, especially under changing conditions.
- Comfortable using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel for schedule updates.
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced, multi-job environment.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing setting preferred.
