Estimator

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in providing accurate cost estimates and proposals for a range of mechanical engineering projects and services. This full-time position offers the opportunity to contribute to the strategic growth and success of our well-established company.

What You'll Be Doing

• Developing detailed cost estimates for a variety of mechanical engineering projects and services
• Analysing project requirements, materials, labour, and other associated costs to provide competitive and accurate proposals
• Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with client needs and expectations
• Maintaining a thorough understanding of industry trends, market conditions, and supplier pricing to inform the estimation process
• Preparing and presenting proposals and bids to clients in a professional and compelling manner
• Providing support and guidance to the sales team throughout the quoting and bidding process
• Continuously seeking opportunities to improve the estimation process and drive efficiencies
  
  

What We're Looking For

• Degree or significant experience in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience as an Estimator in the mechanical engineering industry
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues
• Proficient in using estimating software and other relevant tools
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Collaborative mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
