We are seeking an experienced and committed VP of Operations to join our dynamic and innovative organization. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Operations will serve as a key executive leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions for the organization. The VP of Operations is responsible for developing and leading technological advancements and implement systems that allow the agency to fully utilize technology in ways that complement and maximize its organizational goals. This position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing daily operations to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance. Responsible for identifying and mitigating operational risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with applicable laws and standards across the organization. This position works closely with leaders and departments across the organization to understand both data and technology needs and prioritize projects to meet organization’s strategic initiatives.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Leadership and Management:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with overall business objectives
  • Identifying, recommending, and implementing new processes, technologies, and systems to enhance efficiency and productivity for overall organizational effectiveness
  • Leads, manages and provides a centralized coordination of contracts and legal agreements to ensure consistency and integration across the organization
  • Overseeing the budgeting process, monitoring costs, and ensuring cost-effectiveness for the department
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions
  • Ensuring adherence to relevant operational regulations, policies and procedures
  • Develop strategy as it relates to the organization's IT infrastructure (computer and information systems, security, communication systems)
  • Stay current on HIPAA and other data protection laws to properly safeguard Project Harmony’s data collection process and data storage
  • Monitor and stay current in developments and emerging technologies
  • Create processes and standards for selections, implementation, and support of systems
  • Oversee the accuracy, quality and consistency of data reporting and analysis agency wide
  • Create, revise and maintain operations policies to minimize agency risk and ensure consistency of technology use across teams and programs
  • Devising and establishing operations policies and systems to support the implementation of strategies set by the executive leadership team

Collaborative Relations

  • Prioritize and manage organizational projects related to the operations department
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with contractors, vendors and equipment suppliers
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, delegate tasks, and provide guidance.
  • Serve as a backup/escalation point for the operations team when necessary

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, computer science, operations management, or a related field required; MBA or similar advanced degree strongly preferred.

Experience and Training

  • 10+ years’ experience in progressive operational leadership experience
  • Experience with vendor management, budgeting, strategic planning and coaching/developing teams
  • Experience in analysis, implementation and evaluation of IT systems and Network Administration

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong financial acumen and experience with strategic planning, process improvements, managing budgets and operational KPI’s
  • Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks etc.
  • Strong ability to understand the needs of multiple service programs, and manage projects that are tailored to address those needs
  • Excellent analytical, process design and problem-solving skills
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently as well as part of a team and lead a team
  • Knowledge and experience of network development and maintenance principles, theories, concepts and practices
  • Experience supporting and training staff and other stakeholders that are unfamiliar with technology solutions being implemented or utilized
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong problem- solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong presentation, technical writing and analytical skills
  • Excellent communications skills (written. verbal and active listening)
