Job Summary
Adjunct nursing clinical instructors are responsible for facilitating clinical learning experiences in a variety of area healthcare facilities for no more than 10 nursing students at a time. Responsibilities include acting as a liaison between the nursing program and the healthcare facility.
Pay Rates
ADN - $26.75 per hour
BSN - $32.10 per hour
MSN - $42.80 per hour

- To be considered for an adjunct faculty position, unofficial postsecondary transcripts are required at the time of the application.
- Provide hands on clinical instruction and supervision of nursing students while in the clinical setting
- Facilitate valuable learning experiences including use of the nursing process and clinical judgement
- Assess and evaluate student learning providing feedback in a timely manner promoting student success
- Facilitate development of clinical reasoning skills, professional identity, and use of effective communication skills while providing safe patient care in the clinical setting
- Complete clinical evaluation of student performance weekly, at mid-term and final end of term.
- Participate in BCTC clinical instructor orientation and course specific faculty meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
- Associate of Science in Nursing with at least two years of clinical practice experience
- Unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse in Kentucky
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing with at least two years of clinical practice experience
