Job Description
Overview: Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Field Supervisor directly supervises, coordinates, and assists with the activities of the field service technicians. Works with operations and support groups to anticipate, manage, and provide field leadership for service issues and initiatives, including start-ups, installations, repair, and maintenance needs, and returns.

Works with operations and support groups to anticipate, manage, and provide field leadership for service issues and initiatives, including start-ups, installations, repair, and maintenance needs, and returns.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties:
Field Operations And Supervision
- Provide leadership and guidance to field personnel, including technicians and operators, to ensure they are working effectively and safely.
- Partners with Fleet and Supply Chain departments to coordinate trucking for loading and unloading of units.
- Manages and resolves field issues as they arise, including parts and logistics, repair and maintenance, and employee relations.
- Tracks service records to identify trends with compressor rental packages.
- Manages, monitors, and assists with random and quarterly unit inspections to ensure that all rental assets are inspected with supporting documentation.
- Manages, coordinates, and assists with all start-ups, installation and return of compressor packages.
- Reports any potential problems on the units concerning engineering, assembly and/or equipment failure to appropriate departments.
- Monitors, assesses, and anticipates human capital needs (i.e., adequate levels of staffing, engagement, and performance) to meet business needs.
- Evaluates, develops, and implements maintenance policies and procedures.
- Inspects, tests, and measures completed work, using devices such as hand tools or gauges to verify conformance to standards or repair requirements.
- Performs skilled repair or maintenance operations, using equipment such as hand or power tools, hydraulic presses or shears, or welding equipment.
- Ensures timely completion, accuracy, and integrity of all field related paperwork (i.e., FSRs, daily work orders, expense reports, etc.).
- Troubleshoot and provide training to team members.
- Perform routine inspections of units and ensure they are clean of oil and debris.
- Determines schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel.
- Manages and coordinates the on-call schedule for field service technicians.
- Confers with management, sales team, various support groups and customers to identify resource needs and coordinates work activities accordingly.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Certification:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as engineering) or equivalent work experience.
- Previous experience in the natural gas compression industry.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
- Must be fit for duty for the job tasks being performed.
- Must meet the medical requirements necessary to wear PPE (includes respiratory protection medical requirements) as required by role.
- Frequently required to display good manual dexterity and to reach with hands and arms.
- Constantly required to talk and hear.
- Frequently required to sit while driving or using a PC.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, and twist with good balance.
- Occasionally required to lift, move and carry up to 50 pounds and to push and pull up to 110 pounds.
- Occasionally required to carry at least 40 pounds with one hand for at least 10 feet.
- Occasionally required to crawl, climb in and around equipment, stairs and vertical ladders.
- Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
