Key Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, maintenance, and repairs of plumbing systems in homes and commercial properties
- Cut, fit, and solder piping systems under supervision
- Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, and work orders
- Identify plumbing issues and support senior mechanics in solutions
- Maintain job site cleanliness and organization
- Follow local and state plumbing codes and all safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with team members, supervisors, and clients
- 3-5 years of hands-on plumbing experience (residential and/or commercial)
- Familiarity with standard plumbing tools and materials
- Ability to take direction, follow instructions, and work independently when needed
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Enrollment in or completion of a formal plumbing apprenticeship program
- Understanding of Suffolk County plumbing codes
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus
- $25.00/hour starting wage
