As a Strategic Sales Manager, you’ll lead high-impact sales strategy for innovative programs, drive IDN, Regional, and Local contracts, tools, and training that shape the future of our company.
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Total Rewards to lead and manage the design, implementation, and administration of our global compensation and benefits programs. This role is critical in ensuring that our total rewards offerings align with business objectives, support our people strategy, and enhance employee engagement across all regions.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in compensation, benefits management, vendor relations, and global total rewards strategy, as well as a strong understanding of retirement plans, including 401(k), and other employee-focused initiatives. The work location will be in our HQ in Leesburg, VA.
What You’ll Do:
Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and lead the global total rewards strategy, including compensation, benefits, wellness, and retirement programs.
- Partner with HR and business leaders to align rewards programs with organizational goals, values, and talent strategy.
- Provide thought leadership on trends, benchmarks, and innovations in total rewards.
Compensation
- Design and maintain competitive base, variable, and equity compensation programs.
- Partner with Finance and leadership on merit cycles, bonus plans, and equity strategy.
- Support recruiting in establishing pay ranges for hiring needs.
- Lead or support job leveling, market benchmarking, and salary structure reviews.
Benefits & Wellbeing
- Oversee the design, communication, and administration of all employee benefit programs (medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, wellness, etc.).
- Serve as the main point of contact for benefits plan renewals, open enrollment, and annual plan reviews.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international regulations (e.g., ACA, HIPAA, ERISA, GDPR).
Retirement & Financial Wellness
- Lead the administration and strategy of the company’s 401(k) and other retirement plans, ensuring compliance and optimal plan performance.
- Develop and promote financial wellness programs that support employees' long-term security and engagement.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management
- Manage relationships with benefits vendors, brokers, and consultants to ensure quality service, cost effectiveness, and contract compliance.
- Partner cross-functionally with Payroll, Finance, and Legal to ensure smooth execution of programs.
Global Support
- Coordinate total rewards programs across all countries in which we operate, adapting benefits and compensation practices to meet local requirements and cultural expectations.
- Develop globally consistent frameworks while ensuring local flexibility and compliance.
Data, Analytics & Compliance
- Use data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness, monitor trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, market trends, and best practices in total rewards.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10+ years of experience
- Proven experience managing global compensation and benefits programs.
- Strong understanding of U.S. benefits regulations (e.g., ERISA, COBRA, ACA) and retirement plans (e.g., 401(k), non-qualified plans).
- Experience managing third-party vendors and benefit consultants.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive insights.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and discretion in handling confidential information.
- Prior consulting experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8 hours per day).
- Ability to occasionally lift office supplies and equipment, up to 15 pounds.
- Occasional travel for team events, training, or company meetings.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy, especially when handling sensitive employee data.

Compensation:
Pay for this role is competitive and based on experience, with additional factors like territory requirements, qualifications, and performance taken into account. Final compensation is determined on a case-by-case basis and considers a variety of factors, including experience level, skillset, and market conditions.
