Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership & Revenue Growth

  • Define and execute a regional sales strategy to meet annual goals and revenue targets.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales team (territory sales managers, vendors, and distributors).
  • Foster strong relationships with the distribution network, architects, builders, and OEM partners.
  • Analyze market performance, adjust tactics, and optimize pricing and positioning.

Operational Excellence

  • Collaborate with supply chain and production to ensure product availability and delivery reliability.
  • Oversee budget planning, inventory forecasting, and logistical coordination specific to the West Coast territory.
  • Improve internal processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Make sales centers profit centers for all locations in the West Market

Strategic Planning & Accountability

  • Set regional targets (revenue, margin, customer KPIs) tied to company-wide goals.
  • Monitor performance using dashboards; deliver regular reports and insights to senior leadership.
  • Identify new market opportunities and lead regional expansion efforts or pilot projects.

Team Building & Talent Development

  • Recruit, mentor, and coach team members; foster a culture of high accountability and collaboration.
  • Conduct performance reviews, training, and career development initiatives.
  • Build a bench of talented associates

Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing on campaigns, trade shows, digital initiatives tailored to regional audiences.
  • Work with Product/Engineering on new product rollouts and customer feedback loops.
  • Work with manufacturing on product stock selections

Customer Focus & Market Intelligence

  • Be the face of Hörmann at industry events and customer meetings.
  • Track competitor moves, regional trends, and customer expectations to refine strategy.
  • Work with teams on best approaches to grow the business

Qualifications & Experience

Requirement

Description

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Marketing or related field (MBA a plus)

Experience

10+ years in sales and operations leadership within industrial/manufacturing sectors; experience with building products or distribution channels preferred

Leadership

Proven success building and managing regional teams; strong coaching and interpersonal skills, creating operational excellence

Strategic Thinking

Data-driven, analytical, and able to translate insights into action

Communication

Excellent verbal and written skills; able to engage with C-level partners and customers

Technical Aptitude

Comfortable with ERP/CRM systems; mechanical or technical background helpful. (SAP and IHASS)

Travel

Up to 50% travel across the Western U.S.
