What You Can Expect Working in the Chief Executive Officer, LANGE Position

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of LANGE is a purpose-driven leader who stewards the overall strategic vision, direction, performance, and culture of the LANGE companies—including all subsidiaries and divisions—with discipline and a fierce resolve to build an enduring organization. This role ensures strategic alignment across all business units, fosters organizational growth, champions operational excellence, and builds a culture where the right people are in the right seats, united around a shared mission, disciplined in execution, and committed to the long-term vision.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes the company-wide strategic vision and operational plans, while continuously aligning strategic priorities with the company’s “Hedgehog Concept” (what we are deeply passionate about, what we can be best in the world at, and what drives our economic engine).
  • Champions innovation and progress, identifying growth opportunities that align with LANGE’s vision and strengths—through market expansion, acquisitions, or internal transformation—while never compromising the company’s core.
  • Drives disciplined execution, promoting operational excellence and sustainable growth. Ensures that systems, processes, and metrics reflect clarity of purpose and enable consistent performance across all entities.
  • Oversees financial performance and capital strategy, ensuring long term value creation through effective resource allocation and risk mitigation.
  • Builds and leads a team of exceptional leaders across the LANGE companies, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high performance across all business units.
  • Champions leadership development and succession planning, building a deep bench of talent for critical roles across the LANGE companies.
  • Cultivates the LANGE culture and values, leading by example and ensuring they are consistently modeled at the executive level and reinforced across all levels of the organization.
  • Serves as a trusted partner to the Lange Family Council, maintaining strategic alignment, open communication, and transparency about the health and direction of the enterprise.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory, legal, and governance standards across all companies and industries represented in the portfolio.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; 15+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in senior strategic leadership.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex, multi-entity organizations through growth and change.
  • Proven ability to build high-performing, value-aligned leadership teams.
  • Strategic and Innovative, with a long-term vision of the company that they can plan, develop, and execute.
  • Demonstrated ability to make objective decisions, through a consistent process involving open dialogue, debate, and analyzation of data and facts.
  • Exceptional communication, influence, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and able to manage several jobs at one time.
  • Ability to travel internationally and have a Valid driver’s license.

Supervisor Responsibilities

The CEO provides direct leadership and oversight to the executive leaders of all LANGE companies and divisions. This role is responsible for setting expectations, guiding performance, and holding leaders accountable for strategic execution, financial results, and cultural alignment. The CEO ensures that executive leaders are operating in coordination with company-wide priorities and modeling the values of the organization. As a people-first executive, the CEO plays a critical role in talent development, leadership succession, and the cultivation of a culture rooted in shared values and principled action.

  • Sedentary work.
