What Would You Do As a Graphic Designer

As a Full-Time Graphic Designer at the Y, you will be the creative powerhouse behind high-quality visual materials that inspire and engage our community. This role involves designing everything from eye-catching paid advertisements and dynamic social media graphics to informative internal signage and event collateral. You will have the freedom to unleash your innovative flair while maintaining our YMCA brand guidelines. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, armed with expert-level design skills and exceptional project management abilities, ready to tackle multiple priorities with ease. Are you the Graphic Designer we're looking for?

To thrive as the Graphic Designer at the Y, you'll need a blend of creativity and expertise. A Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, or a related field is essential, along with a minimum of two years of professional design experience-preferably within a collaborative or in-house creative team. Your strong portfolio should showcase your proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro), Canva, and Google Suite. Mastery of layout, typography, color theory, and visual storytelling is a must. You should excel at managing multiple design projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while demonstrating excellent communication and organizational skills.

Additionally, adaptability in applying brand guidelines across diverse campaigns and the ability to place, manage, and optimize Meta Campaigns will set you apart as a key contributor to our mission!

Knowledge And Skills Required For The Position Are

• Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of professional design experience preferably in a collaborative or in-house creative team.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop InDesign Illustrator Acrobat Pro) Canva and Google Suite.
• Strong layout typography, color theory and visual storytelling skills.
• Ability to manage multiple design projects in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent communication organization and time management skills.
• Proven ability to apply and adapt brand guidelines across diverse campaigns.
