Network Operations Engineer

Socket is seeking a talented Network Operations Engineer to join our team! This role will ensure the availability and reliability of our network. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dynamic, fast-paced IT team, where collaboration and innovation are at the heart of what we do. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and success of the team.

This is an in-office position but may require travel to service areas.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage routers, switches, active cabinets, and OLT’s (Optical Line Terminal)
• Internal troubleshooting
• Work with technology vendors to source and purchase equipment
• Triage fiber outages
• Be the top level of escalation for network troubleshooting
• Research, develop, and implement new technologies to improve the current services available to customers
• Maintain, monitor, and test backups of all servers, personal computers, and configuration data for all network equipment
• Flexibility and the ability to be part of an on-call rotation
• Regular reliable attendance
