This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula, CA.
Purpose for the Position:
To lead and oversee all sales and marketing initiatives of the hotel, driving revenue growth, room night goals, and overall profitability. This role is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing accounts, managing key relationships, supervising the sales team, and ensuring all efforts align with the hotel’s brand standards and strategic objectives.

Excessive absenteeism or tardiness may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment. This position is located at the Embassy Suites by Hilton in Temecula, CA.
Purpose for the Position:
To lead and oversee all sales and marketing initiatives of the hotel, driving revenue growth, room night goals, and overall profitability. This role is responsible for developing new business, maintaining existing accounts, managing key relationships, supervising the sales team, and ensuring all efforts align with the hotel’s brand standards and strategic objectives.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Direct the daily operations of the sales team; plan, organize, assign work, and set clear strategies and goals.
- Foster teamwork and promote quality service through effective communication and collaboration with all hotel departments.
- Manage and develop assigned sales staff, including hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and, if necessary, disciplinary actions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to drive group and convention business, covering Room Sales, F&B Sales, and Catering/Banquet.
- Actively solicit and secure new business through outside sales calls, site inspections, presentations, and client entertainment.
- Coordinate closely with Revenue Management to develop and execute pricing strategies, inventory controls, and demand forecasting to maximize profitability.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer data to adjust sales tactics and maintain a competitive edge.
- Schedule conventions, meetings, and business group activities at the hotel, ensuring all operational needs are communicated and executed.
- Maintain close liaison with hotel departments to guarantee seamless delivery of services promised to clients.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets; ensure sales activities meet or exceed profit plans.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of all sales and marketing strategies, including digital efforts and social media campaigns.
- Ensure all sales and marketing materials comply with brand standards and protect the hotel’s image in the marketplace.
- Prepare and present regular sales activity, production, pace, and forecast reports to the General Manager and ownership group.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, local and national industry events, and community organizations to promote business and the hotel’s brand.
- Maintain accurate and organized client files and CRM records.
- Uphold and model the company’s core values, mission statement, and guest service philosophy.
- Ensure compliance with all sales-related policies, procedures, and brand standards.
- Align social media, website content, SEO initiatives, and online advertising with direct sales strategies to drive bookings.
- Host prospective clients for site inspections, entertainment, and showcases of the hotel’s offerings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
- Creative approach to campaigns, promotions, and client engagement.
- Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Delphi, or similar), Microsoft Office Suite, and general sales systems.
- Skilled at reading and interpreting P&L statements, budgets, and forecasting reports.
- Flexibility to frequently switch between different activities such as client presentations, sales calls, strategic planning, and report writing.
- Ability to work with diverse groups of people, plan and organize the work of others, and maintain professionalism in all interactions.
- Light work: exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally.
- Ability to sit for extended periods and navigate hotel property for site tours.
- Must be able to travel locally and nationally to attend trade shows, client meetings, or industry events.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or director role.
- Demonstrated success in sales strategy, business development, prospecting, rate negotiation, and contract management.
- Strong understanding of revenue management concepts and hotel financials.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.
