Job Summary

The Materials Planner is responsible for coordinating all material planning efforts between departments to meet customer expectations and company goals.

SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES - Essential Functions (Other duties and projects may be assigned or requested.)

  • Maintain accurate information in MRP system, including item attributes, Bill of Material, production routings, and customer and production schedules.
  • Monitor MRP, shortage lists, and related indicators to determine 100% material availability and a high rate of inventory turn to ensure 100% on-time customer delivery; utilizes audit reports and key performance metrics.
  • Maintain master schedule or management of entry.
  • Evaluate purchased part material requirements and plans supply.
  • Release internal production work orders.
  • Coordinate cross functional activities with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, and engineering to ensure a smooth flow of materials through the production processes.
  • Implement Engineering Change Notices.
  • Replace materials timely due to non-conformance or scrap.
  • Identify and communicate a detailed status on any material planning items impacting the production schedule (e.g., part shortages).
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the materials group and lead improvement initiatives; achieve 100% material availability; increased inventory turnover; transaction, variance, and work order reduction; standard MRP set-ups and physical material flow across multiple programs.
  • Maintain a safe, secure and legal work environment, adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintain and protect the confidentiality of the Company’s information and products
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned or requested.

Education

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS – Education, Knowledge, and Experience

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business or Supply Chain Management is preferred. A combination of related experience and education may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.

Experience

  • 3 - 5+ years of direct related experience.

Skills

  • Effective communications skills, both verbally and written.
  • Ability to identify and deliver results on time and on budget.

Other

  • May be asked to work extended or irregular hours as required.
  • Must show proof of ability to work in the United States.

Compensation / Benefits

Elevate Aircraft Seating offers competitive wages and benefits to recognize employees for their work. The base pay offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience, and internal equity.

Salary Range Transparency: $82,000 - 103,000 annually, depending on candidate qualifications.
