We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a surgical environment, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. This role requires a strong understanding of medical protocols, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations and patient assessments to determine health status prior to surgery.
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgical procedures, including administering pre-operative medications and performing necessary medical documentation.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals during operations to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes in condition during surgery.
  • Provide post-operative care, including tube feeding management and support for patients with disabilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care activities, including ICD-9 coding for diagnoses.
  • Administer botulinum toxin treatments as required by specific surgical protocols.
  • Utilize medical imaging techniques as needed to assist in surgical planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and infection control protocols within the operating room.

Years of Experience: 2 year(s)

Certifications: ACLS*, BLS

Charting System: Epic

Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Proven experience in an operating room setting is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices and familiarity with DME (Durable Medical Equipment).
  • Ability to work effectively with patients who have disabilities or special needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Proficient in performing physical examinations and patient assessments.
  • Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is a plus.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to ethical standards in nursing practice.

Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00)

Day 3x12-Hour (10:30 - 23:00)
