Responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, entomology, or a related field.
- 1 year of experience in a research or operations setting with insect husbandry.
- 1 year of experience performing molecular biology or biochemical assays.
- Experience performing insect rearing duties in environments with high heat and humidity.
- Experience working with mosquitoes, including field collection, laboratory colonization, dissection, and genetic analysis.
- Experience in embryo micro-injection techniques.
- Experience in molecular biology techniques, including nucleic acid extraction, PCR, qPCR/ddPCR, primer/probe design, and sequencing analysis.
- Familiarity with the landscape of innovative vector control strategies and their applications.
- Ability to have a team-oriented mindset with a of successful collaboration.
- Ability to adjust work hours as needed to meet critical project deadlines and ensure experimental success.

Responsibilities
- Rear and maintain multiple mosquito species and strains.
- Conduct research on novel vector control products in the Debug portfolio.
- Support science team in optimization of existing vector control products, including improving the efficiency of mosquito mass rearing, sex separation, and sterilization.
- Develop and run bioassays to assess mosquito health, fitness, and male mating competitiveness.
- Demonstrates commitment to project success by providing flexible support for ongoing field trials, including participating in a collaborative weekend rotation.
