Polaris Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a dynamic Director of Nursing (DON) to join our leadership team and guide the clinical direction of our skilled nursing facility.

About The Role

As the DON, you will lead clinical operations and work closely with three dedicated Nurse Managers. You'll mentor both experienced and newly licensed nurses, drive staff development, and ensure the highest standards of resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality, compliance, and continuity of care
  • Lead policy implementation, performance improvement, and nursing protocols
  • Partner with our Staff Development Coordinator to drive staff education and competencies
  • Mentor, coach, and empower nursing staff at all levels
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, physicians, and families for holistic care delivery
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence
  • Model curiosity, adaptability, and a growth mindset in your leadership approach


Qualifications

  • Active RN license in Wyoming (or eligibility for licensure)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in long-term care or rehabilitation preferred
  • Prior leadership experience a plus, but strong mentoring skills and clinical confidence are key
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and team-building skills
  • Passion for education, development, and positive culture-building
  • Commitment to ethical practice, inclusivity, and continuous improvement
